I'M MATT KOSENKO

As a lifelong entrepreneur and adventurer, I’ve spent most of my adult life self-employed, with hands-on experience in small businesses across various industries. Today, I live off-grid in the mountains of Northern California near Mount Shasta, embracing the life of a modern mountain man. My homestead—a serene five-acre property with a babbling brook at the base of Mount Eddy—is powered by solar energy and home to chickens, rabbits, and a cat named Arjuna.

In addition to running a small excavation business and drawing on my knowledge of residential construction, I keep a close eye on real estate trends and thrive on the challenge of building and sustaining a self-reliant lifestyle. Beyond work, I’m a skier, sailor, adventurer, and proud father of two grown children.

I believe in simple living, continuous self-improvement, and fostering connections that inspire growth and resilience. My coaching draws from a lifetime of practical experience, holistic values, and a passion for helping others navigate their own paths to success and fulfillment.

CONNECTION TO NATURE

The natural world is one of the most profound sources of wisdom, healing, and connection available to us. To immerse ourselves in nature is to step into a living representation of the divine—an intricate, balanced system where every element plays a role in the greater whole. Natural beauty has a way of soothing the soul, offering clarity and calm amid the chaos of modern life. It reminds us that life unfolds in cycles, that growth comes with patience, and that simplicity often holds the deepest truths.

We are not separate from nature but an extension of it, woven into its rhythms and bound by its laws. To reconnect with the earth is to reconnect with ourselves. In the rustling of leaves, the flow of a brook, or the expanse of a starry night, we are reminded of our place within something vast and sacred. These moments of communion with the natural world are not only healing but also profoundly transformative, offering a quiet antidote to the noise and pressures of contemporary living. Nature calls us to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember what it means to truly be alive.
